Smarter than a smart card: How DishTV India deployed the Rambus
CryptoMedia platform to go cardless in pay TV
In this talk, DishTV India will discuss how it is evolving the
traditional smart card based security model to a more advanced solution
by deploying the CryptoMedia Platform from Rambus Cryptography Research.
With this platform, DishTV is able to deploy multiple chains of
security, as well as control the STB security foundation: keys, boot
loader and chipset configuration. The CryptoMedia platform consists of
hardware cores that sit in the STB chip and are designed to defend
against key sharing piracy to reduce STB security risks.
