REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Apr 24, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- On Saturday, April 25, 2009, nearly 3,000 volunteers from corporations
and service organizations around the Bay Area will heed the President's
call to service by stepping out to renovate and rehabilitate homes and
community facilities for neighbors in need throughout San Mateo and
northern Santa Clara County.
Los Altos- based Rambus will lead the way working with Rebuilding
Together Peninsula to ensure that neighbors in need can live in safety,
warmth and independence during this challenging economic time by
providing free repair services that would otherwise be unaffordable.
Rambus will be bringing roughly 70 volunteers to help renovate a single
family home to create a safe, protected environment for the family in
need of help. The work includes both interior and exterior renovations.
"For the past 8 years, Rebuilding Together has been an ideal way for
Rambus employees to not only give back to their community, but also have
fun," said Satish Rishi, executive champion of Rebuilding Together at
Rambus. "It's always exciting to see the finished product, and rewarding
to know we are helping to provide this family with a safe and protected
environment."
As part of Rebuilding Together Peninsula's National Rebuilding Day, this
project will restore and revitalize not only a home but hope and
community pride as well.
Please join Rambus volunteers, community leaders and Rebuilding Together
Peninsula at the ground breaking of this project on Saturday, April 25
at 8:00am, located at 908 Hiller Avenue, Belmont, CA -- photo and
interview opportunities available throughout the day.
